Scope

The experienced Full Stack Software Developer position works in advanced software technologies, a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment developing truly innovative software solutions for federal and commercial customers. This position develops cutting-edge software for:

• Enterprise-level web applications
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Please note that this position requires U.S. citizenship status pursuant to a government contract.

AVN is seeking a Full Stack Developer with experience in the following areas:

• Web Application Development (Python, RESTful APIs)
• Relational Database Development (Postgres, MySQL)
• Web UX/UI Development (JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks, HTML5, CSS)
• Containerization (Docker)
• Git Source Control
• Linux Operating System

Preferred Experience:

• Cloud application development
• Agile Software Development Traceability Processes
• Kubernetes
• Systems Administration (Linux)
• Shell/Bash Scripting
• WordPress Maintenance and Administration
• Database Testing – SQL Scripting/Querying (Postgres)

Experience in the following areas a plus:

• Application development (Java, React, PHP)
• Responsive design
• Google Cloud Platform Experience
• Web accessibility
• Agile software development
• NoSQL Database development
• Web service management (Apache, nginx)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required, Master’s degree in computer science or related field a plus
• Strong creativity and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team setting while being an effective self-starter able to manage daily activities to achieve long-term goals

Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in Software Development
